Privacy Policy

SORAH LLC, a United States limited liability company, operates JobSorah at jobsorah.com. This policy explains our handling of personal information when you visit the website, create an account, search for jobs, use resume tools, or purchase a subscription.

JobSorah helps you find relevant roles, review and improve your resume, and keep track of applications. It is not an employer or a public candidate database. Our Terms of Service explain the rules for using these tools.

• Account information: your email address, account identifier, sign-in provider, and available profile details such as your name or profile image. Our authentication service handles passwords and sign-in credentials.
• Resume and career information: uploaded files and extracted text, contact details, work history, education, skills, projects, certifications, links, and profile edits you provide. Documents may contain other information you choose to include.
• Activity and generated results: search requests, job preferences, saved roles, application records you mark yourself, match scores, resume assessments, and edited resume content.
• Billing records: your selected plan, subscription and payment status, usage counts, billing periods, and Stripe customer, subscription, and transaction identifiers. Stripe collects payment details through its checkout; our application does not receive your full card number or card security code.
• Technical and support information: session cookies, requests, error and security logs, and messages you send us. Our hosting, authentication, and abuse-prevention providers may process connection information such as IP address and browser or device data.

We use information to:

• Create accounts, authenticate users, and maintain sessions.
• Build your career profile, find and rank relevant jobs, interpret search requests, and provide requested resume analysis and editing.
• Store saved jobs and the application activity you record.
• Provide subscriptions, count feature usage, reconcile payments, and respond to billing or refund requests.
• Answer support questions, send account-related messages, prevent abuse, investigate errors, and keep the service operating securely.
• Meet legal obligations and resolve disputes.

If you choose Google sign-in, Google supplies the identity information needed to sign you in, such as your Google account identifier, email address, and available basic profile information. Supabase processes the sign-in credential and maintains your JobSorah account and session. We use this information for authentication, account identification, and account-related communications.

JobSorah does not read your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts, or calendar through Google sign-in. Signing in with Google does not automatically upload your resume or grant access to those services.

We do not sell Google user data, use it for targeted advertising, or use it to develop or train generalized AI or machine-learning models. We limit sharing to the providers needed to operate these disclosed features, your instructions, and applicable legal or security needs. JobSorah's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements where applicable.

You can review or remove JobSorah's connection in your Google Account connections settings. Removing a connection does not itself erase information already stored in JobSorah; contact us to request deletion.

JobSorah uses OpenAI's API to extract structured information from resume text, generate resume assessments and edits, and interpret natural-language job searches. To provide the feature you request, we send the relevant extracted resume text, search prompt, target role, or job description to OpenAI. Resume text can include personal details present in your document, including your name and contact information.

Uploaded resume files, extracted profiles, and generated results are stored using Supabase. We do not publish your resume to a candidate database or automatically send it to employers or recruiters. Applications currently open on the employer's website, where you decide what to submit. That website handles the information you give it under its own policy.

Include only information needed for your job search. Avoid uploading government identifiers, financial account details, medical records, or other sensitive information that these features do not need. AI-generated results can be inaccurate and should be reviewed.

Operating JobSorah requires service providers to process relevant information. Our integrations include:

• Supabase: account authentication, database storage, and resume file storage.
• OpenAI: the AI processing described above.
• Stripe: checkout, recurring payments, subscription management, and payment or refund processing.
• Cloudflare Turnstile: bot detection and protection of account forms.
• Upstash and Inngest: request rate limits and background-job coordination, which can involve user identifiers and operational event data.
• Hosting and communications providers: delivering the website, processing operational logs, and sending account or support communications.

We may also disclose information when you ask us to, when legally required, or when reasonably necessary to investigate misuse, protect people or the service, or establish or defend legal claims. A business transfer may involve relevant information, subject to applicable law and privacy obligations. We do not sell your resume or personal information.

We use session and authentication cookies to keep you signed in and operate account features. Integrated services such as Google sign-in, Stripe checkout, and Cloudflare Turnstile may use their own cookies or similar technologies for authentication, payments, and abuse prevention.

You can manage cookies in your browser and review those providers' settings. Blocking required cookies can prevent sign-in, checkout, or other features from working.

We retain account and career information as needed to provide your account and requested features. Billing, security, and support records may need to remain longer for legal obligations, fraud prevention, accounting, or disputes. Backup copies may remain until their normal retention period expires.

You can edit your career profile and delete an uploaded resume from the Resume page. Deleting a resume file does not automatically erase the profile fields previously extracted from it, saved job activity, or all generated results. To request deletion of your account and associated information, email felixangcot74@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity and explain any records we must retain. Deletion requests are not a substitute for canceling a paid subscription; manage renewal separately through Billing or contact us.

You can review and edit your profile, choose whether to upload a resume, use email sign-in instead of Google, and manage your paid plan through Billing. To request access, correction, a copy, or deletion of personal information, contact us using the email below.

Depending on your location and applicable law, additional rights may include data portability, restriction of processing, objection, withdrawal of consent where processing relies on it, or a complaint to your local privacy authority. We assess requests under the law that applies to them and may require identity verification. Where relevant, processing supports providing the service you request, legitimate operational and security needs, legal duties, or your consent.

JobSorah uses authentication, access controls, private resume storage, time-limited download links, upload validation, and request rate limits to help protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials private and contact us if you suspect unauthorized account access.

We operate through a United States company and use third-party infrastructure. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Privacy laws can differ between countries; applicable transfer requirements still apply to our handling of information.

JobSorah is a career and job-search service, not a service directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps, including deletion where required.

We will update this page when our information practices change and revise the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes.
