Job Matching Based on Your Skills
Every open role in the catalog gets a match score against your profile. Weak fits are hidden and the rest are ranked, so the first jobs you read are the ones most likely to be relevant.
What goes into a match score
Scores run from 0 to 99 and come from comparing the posting's title, description, and location with the profile built from your resume.
Your role
The words in your headline or most recent job title, found in the posting. This is one of the two biggest factors.
Skills and tech stack
The skills on your resume and the technologies from your projects that the posting mentions. The other big factor.
Location
A smaller boost when the posting mentions the city or region on your profile.
Job type
A small boost when the employment type matches yours, such as full-time or contract.
Remote work
A small boost for postings that are explicitly remote.
The cutoff
Roles scoring under 40% stay out of your matches, so you aren't wading through listings that barely overlap with your experience.
Why skills-based matching helps
Job titles vary a lot between companies, and a keyword search can't tell a close fit from a passing mention.
Less noise
Roles that share a title but little else fall below the cutoff instead of filling your list.
A clear starting order
Matches are ranked best first, so a short session still covers the most relevant roles.
It moves with you
Add a skill or change your headline and your matches are scored against the updated profile.
Job matching questions
Does the score consider salary or seniority?
No. It focuses on role, skills, location, job type, and remote work. Check the posting for pay and seniority before you apply.
Is a high score a guarantee of an interview?
No. It tells you how closely a posting lines up with your profile. It is a way to prioritise, not a prediction of a hiring decision.
How many matches can I see?
The Free plan shows your top 10 matches. Paid plans show every match above the cutoff. See pricing.
What if I want roles outside my profile?
Use Agent Search to describe them in plain English. Resume fit is shown next to each result but doesn't filter anything out.
